Sweet Potato Pie – Pioneer COOKERY

Sweet Potato Pie

with No Comments

The perfect sweet potato pie recipe! Made with a deliciously soft, buttery pie crust and lightly seasoned sweet potato pie filling that’s sweetened to perfection.

Then you have your choice with sweetened whipped cream or homemade toasted marshmallows !

I’ve never measured sweet potato pancakes.

I’m baking sweet potatoes, and I used two very large ones. After baking I mashed it with a fork.

If you love pumpkin pie, you will love sweet potato pie. They’re very similar in taste but this recipe is made with fresh baked sweet potatoes (instead of canned pumpkin) and includes brown butter so you know it’s going to be good!

I added about:

° 1.5 cups of sugar

° three eggs

° 1 1/2 pieces butter

° 1/2 cup full fat milk

° About a teaspoon of vanilla.

Maybe ½ teaspoon each of cloves, ginger, nutmeg and a pinch of salt.

Mix with hand mixer. Make two pies.

Bake for 45 minutes or until 375 brown.

Enjoy !
