500 ml (2 cups)
Ingredients
- 250 mL (1 cup) sugar
- 45 mL (3 tbsp.) water
- 500 mL (2 cups) unsalted peanuts
- 10 mL (2 tsp.) kosher salt
- 5 mL (1 tsp.) smoked salt
- Pinch of cinnamon
- Pinch of cayenne pepper, or to taste
HOW TO
In a saucepan, heat sugar and water over medium heat until sugar is dissolved and liquid begins to boil, 3 to 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients.
Cook, stirring occasionally, until sugar crystallizes (texture will be sandy).
Transfer to a baking sheet and let cool completely. Store in an airtight container
