After all, what’s not to like? Did I note the gooey melted cheese, meatballs, and tomato sauce, lol?

To make these cheesy meatballs boats, you only need:

Mini hoagie rolls, I used eight.

12 slices.Of asiago cheese.

470 grams.Of ground beef.

2 Cup.Of marinara sauce.

An extra-large egg.

⅓ Cup.Of breadcrumbs.

¼ Cup.Of Parmesan cheese.

1 large spoon.Of Minced garlic.

1 large spoon.Of olive oil.

1 large spoon.Of fresh chopped parsley.

Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper to season.

DIRECTIONS TO MAKE THIS RECIPE FROM SCRATCH:

Step 1:

I started the preparation by heating the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, and I greased the bottom and sides of a medium baking pan using a nonstick cooking spray.

Step 2:

In a mixing dish, I combined the ground beef, with egg, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, parmesan cheese, and parsley, and I combined all ingredients with both hands.

Step 3:

After that, I seasoned with sea salt and black pepper, and I started forming the meatballs with the ice cream scoop.

Step 4:

Then, I heated olive oil in a medium skillet for no longer than one minute over medium heat.

Step 5:

Next, I added the meatballs in the skillet one by one and cooked them until both sides were browned for a maximum of 5 minutes.

Step 6:

Following that, I transferred the meatballs to the prepared pan after I lined it with parchment paper, and baked it for around 12 minutes.

Step 7:

On the top of the roll, I cut an oval, leaving approximately 12 inches on the ends and sides. And I scooped the lower half of the roll but do not hack into it.

Step 8:

I hollow out the end of the roll with a knife, and I placed the roll on the prepared baking sheet.

Step 9:

At this point, I placed 1 slice of cheese in the hollowed-out position. And I cooked for another 8 minutes in the microwave.

Step 10:

Next, I poured 2 large spoons. Of marinara sauce on top of the cheese. And on top of the marinara, I sprinkled the grated parmesan cheese.

Step 11:

And, I returned it to the oven for another 8 minutes of baking.
