Chargrilled Oysters

with No Comments

These mouthwatering Chargrilled Oysters are my best pick for nights gatheringgs! Half shell oysters filled with a luscious lemony, garlicky, butter sauce topped with cheese and chargrilled until melted and golden brown. The ideal appetizer, super tasty made with simple ingredients and ready in less than thirty minutes!

Ingredients

1 stick butter, room temperature or melted

2 cloves garlic, grated

2 tbsp lemon juice (1/2 lemon)

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1/4 c. pecorino romano or parmigiano reggiano (Parmesan), grated

salt, pepper, and cayenne to taste

1 tbsp parsley, chopped

12 oysters on the half shell

1/2 c. pecorino romano or parmigiano reggiano (Parmesan), grated

2 tbsp parsley, chopped

Instructions

Step 1: Combine the butter, garlic, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, cheese, salt, pepper, cayenne, and parsley and set aside.

Step 2: On a preheated 350 degrees F or 180 degrees C, place the oysters and cook until the juice begins to bubble. Onto each oyster, spoon in about a tbsp of the butter mixture, and sprinkle with cheese. Continue to cook until the cheese is golden brown.

Step 3: Before serving, sprinkle the oysters with parsley. Enjoy with more butter, lemon wedges, hot sauce, and bread.
