HOW TO MAKE BIG APPLE FRITTERS?
Using a cakey batter and luscious apples, Apple Fritters are the ideal home-cooked dessert! The sweet frosting elevates these fritters to a whole new level, and they may even remind you of a funnel cake filled with fruit. But, of course, it’s better! What is my favorite part? In less than 30 minutes, you may have this delicious Apple Fritter in front of you!
These Apple Fritters are made with just a few simple ingredients and come together in no time! Additionally, they happen to make use of fresh apples, which is always a plus when I’m trying to rationalize eating donuts for breakfast. I was really smitten with the recipe,
Granny Smith apples are my preferred choice for this dish since they hold up very well when baked or fried. We tasted Honeycrisp apples and loved them, but when we tried Red Delicious apples, we didn’t like them as much as we did with Honeycrisp. The texture of the apples was virtually identical to that of the doughnut, and the apple taste was not quite as intense as that of the donut. When at all feasible, choose a Granny Smith apple!
INGREDIENTS NEEDED:
3 Cups. Of Granny Smith apples, I peeled and cored them, then I diced them into bite-size pieces
128 grams.Of all-purpose flour.
2 whole eggs at room temperature.
2 small spoons.Of baking powder.
½ small spoon.Of cinnamon powder.
½ small spoon.Of salt.
2 small spoons.Of fresh lemon juice.
2 large spoons.Of granulated sugar.
¼ Cup.Of whole milk.
Vegetable or canola oil, for frying.
How to :
Step 1:
In the beginning, you need to sift in the flour with baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a medium-sized mixing basin, and set it aside for later.
Step 2:
Next, In a separate dish, mix together the lemon juice and apples until well combined.
Step 3:
On a medium speed, blend the sugar and eggs in the bowl of a stand mixer equipped with the paddle attachment until completely mixed. Reduce the speed to low and add the flour mixture in two batches, mixing after each addition. Combine just until everything is well-combined.
Step 4:
After that, pour in the milk and continue to whisk until everything is well-combined, and fold in the apples until everything is well-combined.
Step 5:
Half-fill a frying pan with oil and set aside. Using a candy thermometer, heat the oil over medium heat until it reaches 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 6:
Using a 1/4 cup measuring cup, drop the batter into the oil and cook until golden brown. Fry until the other side is golden brown, then flip and repeat the process.
Step 7:
And now, insert a tiny knife into the middle of the meat to see whether it is done. If there is still undercooked batter in the middle, continue to fry for a few more seconds.
Step 8:
Transfer to a cooling rack lined with paper towels and set aside to cool. Toss the remaining batter in a separate bowl and repeat the process.
Step 9:
To make a quick easy glaze to frost the apple fritters, you’ll need:
150 grams.Of sifted confectioners sugar.
¼ small spoon.Of vanilla.
5 small spoons.Of water.
To make the glaze, combine the sugar, vanilla, and 3 tablespoons of water in a small mixing bowl. Continue to add additional water, 1 teaspoon at a time, until the mixture reaches a pourable consistency.
Drizzle the glaze over the fritters once they have cooled and set aside to dry.
