I stumbled found this interesting recipe for Orange Sherbet and knew I had to give it a go. There are just TWO ingredients! The ice cream machine was utilized in this recipe, although you do not need to. This delicious dessert was a huge hit with my children.
Ice cream and sorbet are both frozen desserts, but orange sherbet is a frozen treat that falls somewhere in the between. In comparison to sorbet, which is dairy-free, it has less fat than ice cream but does contain some kind of dairy. Even though sherbet is creamier than sorbet, it is less creamy than ice cream. It’s typically flavored with fruit, in this instance orange, and it’s usually sweet.
This sherbet recipe couldn’t be much simpler to make! The only thing you have to do is mix the orange soda and sweetened condensed milk in a big mixing basin. Stir until everything is well-combined. If you’re making ice cream in an ice cream maker, pour the ingredients into the machine and start it up. It will take some time for the air bubbles in the soda to be agitated out and the liquid to condense. It should be transferred to a bread pan and frozen until firm when it has partially frozen. I use orange soda in my sherbet recipe because it adds flavor and sweetness to the sherbet. You are free to use whatever flavor of soda you want, including lemon-lime, grape, strawberry, and so on. Making a root beer sherbet sounds very wonderful to me!
HOW TO MAKE ORANGE SHERBET?
Ingredients:
- A liter of orange soda
- A sweetened condensed milk can
Directions:
Step 1:
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the orange soda and sweetened condensed milk until well combined. Stir until all of the milk has been added.
Step 2:
If you’re making ice cream in an ice cream maker, pour the ingredients into the machine and start it up. It will take some time for the air bubbles in the soda to be agitated out and the liquid to condense.
Step 3:
Churn for about 1 hour, then pour into a bread pan and freeze for 6-8 hours, or until solid. Enjoy!
Step 4:
If you aren’t using an ice cream machine, put the mixture in a bread pan and freeze until solid.
Step 5:
Remove from the freezer and return it to the freezer after 1 hour.
Step 6:
The process should be repeated every 2 hours, stirring at least twice before serving.
